Heat pay a visit to Hawks
Basketball Betting Lines
02/10/2010 -
(Sportsbook Betting Lines) - The Miami Heat managed to stop their longest slide of the
season last night but things figure to be much tougher on Wednesday as they
open up a five-game road trip against the talented Atlanta Hawks.
The Heat halted their five-game skid in emphatic fashion when Dwyane Wade
compiled 17 points, seven assists and five steals over the first three
quarters as Miami torched Houston, 99-66, in South Beach.
Udonis Haslem contributed 14 points and 14 rebounds in a reserve role for the
Heat, who also received 12 points and seven assists from Carlos Arroyo.
Michael Beasley, Jermaine O'Neal and Daequan Cook all scored 10 in the win.
"It was a whole bunch of guys contributing on both ends of the floor," Wade
said. "We were very active on the defensive end of the floor."
The Hawks, meanwhile, won their third straight in Memphis last night when
Jamal Crawford scored 19 of his 28 points in the second half, carrying Atlanta
to a 108-94 victory over the Grizzlies.
Josh Smith ended with 17 points, while Marvin Williams and Al Horford netted
15 apiece for Atlanta, which outscored the Grizzlies, 55-39, in the second
half.
Mike Bibby and Joe Johnson each donated 11 points for the victors.
"We're a team we know that can't be beat when we're committed for 48 minutes,"
Hawks coach Mike Woodson said. "I think we've proven that this year, but we
still have a ways to go."
These two teams have split a pair of meetings so far this season with each
club holding serve on its home floor. Overall, the Hawks have taken five
straight over the Heat in Dixie.

Dallas Cowboys Super Bowl Odds
Will he or won't he? Now that the Dallas Cowboys have a new head coach in Wade Phillips, the big question will be: Does Terrell Owens stay with the team.
Jerry Jones continues to suggest that Terrell Owens will remain with the team.
"I've said that he's back, he's here, he's under contract," Jones said. "In the interviews I've just been through (to hire a new coach), it was very clear to me how highly he's thought of and how much of an impact he had on our offensive success."
Just to be sure though, Terrell Owens cleared out his locker and removed his name plate.
Terrell Owens was among the Cowboys most productive players this past season, catching 85 passes for 1,180 yards and a league-best 13 touchdowns.
But T.O. is due a $3 million roster bonus in June, then a $5 million salary this season. Cutting him before then would save a lot of money and headaches.
Aside from the questions surrounding Terrell Owens, the oddsmakers at MySportsbook.com have concerns over starting quarterback Tony Romo's state of mind and whether he will remain a starting quarterback. It is also not known how players will adjust to new head coach, Wade Phillips.
Here are the football odds as seen at MySportsbook.com and subject to change after February 10, 2007 if not locked in prior to that date.
