Grizzlies and Knicks collide at MSG
Basketball Betting Lines
02/27/2010 -
(Sportsbook Betting Lines) - The Memphis Grizzlies have been a bit of a Bipolar team
recently. Lionel Hollins' club has dropped six straight on its home floor but
will be shooting for its fourth straight road victory in historic Madison
Square Garden tonight against the New York Knicks.
Shooting for just the fourth playoff berth in franchise history, Memphis is
now 3 1/2 games behind Portland for the eighth and final postseason spot in
the West after its latest loss as the host, a 93-89 setback to Charlotte last
night.
The Bobcats' Stephen Jackson poured in a game-best 32 points and pulled down a
season-high 11 rebounds in that one.
Ex-Knick Zach Randolph finished with 24 points and 10 rebounds for the
Grizzlies, who have lost 10 of 14 overall. Rudy Gay tallied 20 points and five
rebounds. O.J. Mayo and Mike Conley chipped in 14 and 13 points, respectively,
for Memphis, which hasn't won at FedExForum since February 1 versus the
Lakers.
"We can't settle for where we were at. We have to get back to what we were
doing in January and December when we were winning games," Conley said.
They have been winning as the visitor, however, compiling wins over Toronto,
New Jersey and Washington over the last week and a half. The Grizz haven't won
four in a row away from Memphis since Jan. 1-19, 2005.
The Knicks, meanwhile, snapped an ugly eight-game skid last night with an
118-116 overtime win in Washington and will now be attempting to stop a
five-game slide at MSG.
David Lee's layup with 1.6 seconds remaining in the extra frame on Friday
helped New York edge Washington.
Lee finished with 25 points, 16 rebounds and five assists for the Knicks, who
hadn't won since February 3 against the Wizards at Madison Square Garden. Al
Harrington made five three-pointers en route to a game-high 37 points off the
bench for New York.
This is the first meeting between the two clubs this season. New York swept
the home-and-home season series a year ago.

As cup crazy fans prepare to place their bets, one online sportsbook ,MySportsbook.com, is offering hockey betting lines on the 2007/2007 Stanley Cup , who will bring it home this upcoming season.
Despite a poor showing in last season's playoffs and the loss of Steve Yzerman to retirement, the Detroit Red Wings are early favourites at this online sportsbook with wagering odds of 6-1. The Wings will look to offensive powerhouse Pavel Datsyuk and newly appointed captain Nicklas Lidstrom to lead one of the league's most prominent franchises.
Always a threat are the Ottawa Senators, with newly acquired goaltender Martin Gerber from the Stanley Cup champion ,Carolina Hurricanes. The Sens are second best in the rankings at a 7-1 bet, and odds makers at this sportsbook are optimistic that the Ottawa squad will fare better than last season's Eastern Conference semi-final upset to the Buffalo Sabres.
Also worth noting are the defending Stanley Cup champs Carolina Hurricanes, a 10-1 bet to repeat. Behind the Canes are the New Jersey Devils, Calgary Flames, Buffalo Sabres, Philadelphia Flyers, and Anaheim Mighty Ducks all sit at 12-1.
